Project Challenge: Modernising Access for Busy Fresh Produce Wholesale Operations
We were asked to provide a custom all in one door solution for a Sydney Produce Markets project wanting to replace multi panel doors with a modern rapid door system for a wholesaler storing and transferring fresh produce in a busy environment.
Solution Design: Custom AUTO MOSSA Door with HYPERFREEZE Insulation for Extreme Temperature Differential
After discussing the requirements and seeing the need for speed, easy access and reliability, it was decided the best option was to replace the existing inefficient sliding panel doors with one large custom made AUTO MOSSA high speed rapid door measuring approximately 5.0m w x 5.0m h. It was also noted that the door is positioned between a +2deg Coolroom and external surroundings exposed to Sydney ambient temperatures (which can exceed +40deg C) therefore a high level of insulation was important. To meet this requirement the HYPERFREEZE platform with a 30mm thick Insulated curtain was chosen which incorporates a special combination of foam and air-filled insulation.

The new AUTO MOSSA system provides complete open access for quick, easy and efficient product loading and unloading. The door is automatic with half and full height opening option. The extra-large open area also means the side frames are out of the way of potential crashes and subsequent damage. The special 30mm thick curtain with addition of insulation along all welded seams provides very good thermal resistance between the chillers and the ambient area, plus heat trace fitted to tracks further reduces the risk of condensation. Importantly AUTO MOSSA’s flexible, robust industrial design combining high reliability with its fully automatic curtain crash-out system (which auto relocates in the event it is hit by a forklift and knocked out) all means costly repairs and down become almost non-existent.
